Having likely sat on a candy store counter for weeks or months, it is not an easy car to find in good shape. Also finding a nice straight cut is crucial to the appearance.
I will explain the condition best I can. Corners- The top left corner is the toughest to find in Good shape, given the location on the box.
This example is no different. The top left is wrinkled, and no doubt the downfall of the card. The other 3 corners are all SHARP.
Borders- Graders insist on the right side showing some black to get a decent grade. This example has most black showing, and the cut is straight. Many examples are cut wavy, and they look terrible. Surface- The best quality of the card for sure. VERY tough to find these with no scratches, ink loss or stains given they sat face down and kids grabbed for the pack and dragged the boxes on the counters.
The color on this is bright, crisp and very nice. I wont venture to guess how this would grade, since hand-cut cards are essentially impossible to predict. This is a NICE example of the card, and with a better left corner, I think it would grade well.This is is an excellent starter version of this classic card, with great eye appeal. Excellent option for anyone who cant afford a high end graded version.
