Howe, Gordie Signed on 1992 Hockey Hall of Fame Legends of Hockey Card #9 Mr. Gordon Howe OC was a Canadian professional ice hockey player. From 1946 to 1980, he played 26 seasons in the National Hockey League and six seasons in the World Hockey Association; his first 25 seasons were spent with the Detroit Red Wings. A Gordie Howe hat trick is a variation on ice hockey's hat-trick. It is accomplished when a player collects a goal, an assist, and a fight in the same game.
